2024 Year-End Update from WESC President
It’s been an incredible year for the Whiskeytown Environmental School Community (WESC)! We’ve experienced significant progress this year.

The pond, the beloved centerpiece of Whiskeytown Environmental School (WES), lost its permanent water source after the 2018 Carr Fire. This reduced it to a seasonal pond with limited usability.

We’re thrilled to announce that the Investment Review Board (IRB) of the National Park Service has granted conditional approval of further plan development for rebuilding Whiskeytown Environmental School (WES)!

June 2024 Newsletter
During the month of May WES Community received additional funds from generous supporters. The Community Foundation of the North State has granted WES Community with $16,000 from the McConnell Fund.

How to help rebuild Wes Camp

WES Community receives $217,756 from the Community Foundation of the North State's Disaster Relief Fund for the "Grow Back Stronger" campaign, aiming for student return by Fall 2023.
Manzanita School Students Donate to WES
For their 2021-2022 "Change the World" project, preschool to 5th grade students at Manzanita School collected $482 in spare change, a commendable community contribution.
